Support for Food Not Bombs
St. Augustine People for Peace and Justice
acknowledge and support the valuable work performed by our local
Food Not Bombs. They currently serve dinner 7 days a week in
La Plaza de la Constitucion, to anyone who stops by. In November of 2003,
Food Not Bombs served its first meal in St. Augustine. They celebrated their 5th anniversary
by sponsoring St. Augustine's
First Annual March of the Impoverished.
Anyone wishing to donate non-perishable vegetarian food to
St. Augustine Food Not Bombs, can leave the items with our
members at any of our activities and we will insure they are
delivered. Due to City Ordinances, we will not be able to accept
cash donations on their behalf if we are in the Plaza. Food items
and cash donations can also be left at
Needful Thingz
at
215 W King St, Suite 3, Augustine, FL 32084.
There are also opportunities to participate in the
Society of St. Andrew Gleaning Project on behalf of Food Not Bombs,
or any other group for that matter. More information
here.
Visit the St. Augustine Food Not Bombs website
here.
Better yet, stop by the Plaza some evening and share
a meal and enjoy the diversity of the people of Food Not Bombs
and our community.
